Chewing, talking, yawning, yelling—your jaw is almost constantly in motion. The discomfort that stems from a strained temporomandibular joint can throw a wrench in all your daily activities, from eating to sleeping and everything in between. TMD can arise at any time, for seemingly unknown reasons. Depending on a patient's age and circumstances, the treatment can vary widely.
